October is Fall Car Care Month, and here at Fairfax Auto Repair, we’d like to remind each of your to take the time to become “Car Care Aware” – that’s how CarCare.org says it, and every year in October, the Car Care Council celebrates Fall Car Care Month. With that in mind, we’re bringing you a series of our favorite tips for fall car care, beginning with batteries.
Battery. Your battery is put through serious strain during the hot summer months. Check your connections, and make sure they are tight, clean, and free from corrosion. Summer heat takes a toll on batteries, so testing the battery to ensure it’s still performing as it should is recommended in the fall. Batteries can often fail without warning, so testing is a good idea, and if your battery is more than three years old, replace it.
Here at Fairfax Auto Repair, our goal is to be a trusted source of car care information – as far as we’re concerned, every month is Car Care Month! So, if you’re wondering if your vehicle is in need of service, don’t wait for that maintenance to become an expensive repair.
