With the spring season here, it won’t be long before the extreme heat sets in. When this happens, there are things you can do to protect your car.
While true that your vehicle is built to withstand extreme temperatures, there are things you can do to add a little bit of protection. Here are some ideas to consider:
1. Add a coat of wax. This is the best way to protect your car’s paint from extreme heat, as well as road debris. You don’t have to wax your vehicle every time you wash it, but you should definitely consider doing so once per month.
2. Park in the shade. Do you have the option to park indoors, both at work and at home? If so, take advantage. If you don’t, do your best to find a shady spot. Not only will this protect your vehicle, but it will make it easier for you to enter the vehicle on those hot days.
3. Crack your windows. The last thing you want to do is keep your windows rolled up on a hot summer day. Not only will this turn your vehicle into an oven, but it can cause damage to your interior. Before you get out of your car, crack the windows.
