My sons Jeep would not idle. It would simply die immediately if you took your foot off the accelerator. Im a decent handy-man and would normally try to find and fix the issue myself, but my son is in college at GMU and we live in Winchester – too far to try to drive with an unreliable vehicle, so we needed someone local. We managed to nurse the Jeep in to Adams late in the afternoon just before they closed for the day. Adams called me at work early the next morning with a clear and exact explanation of the problem and what they’d done to find it. They had stayed around that evening and isolated the issue and after a check of the electronics and vacume systems came up clean, they had checked the throttle control system and found that the pintle valve was not functioning to allow some fuel to bypass the main throttle valve and maintain engine idle. I could never have found the problem myself. They didn’t suggest unnecessary repairs even though his college vehicle has a number of clearly evident but irrelevant issues. Fair pricing coupled with a sound and quick fix for the issue now provides me a valuable sense of security for my son when Im not there to help – something hard to find today from a chain shop. Many kudos.
