I have a 1997 Honda Del Sol that I use for my “fun” car for 3 years. It never had a problem until just a week ago when the driver’s side door was stuck unlocked. It started initially when the door wouldn’t completely close, so I sort of “slam” it to make it close but as a result it got stuck. I live in Fairfax City so just wanted to find a good repair shop to get it fixed. I had no idea how expensive it might have costed me, but my No.1 priority is to get a reputable repair shop to do the job. After a short online search, I decided to give Fairfax Auto Repair a shot (where I never went to before). So I called the shop first, and Sonia answered the call. She was an angle who patiently listened to my car’s problem and quickly make sure I got an appointment the next morning even though I was in no rush to get the car fixed and can afford to leave the car at the shop for a few days. Her calmness and humor made a great first impression so I felt that my Del Sol would be in the good hands for repair. The next day I took the car there, saw a nice mechanic and asked about where to park. I didn’t get his name, but he was low-key, friendly, and helpful, so that’s again a great impression of the shop. When I checked in with Sonia, she said everything was pretty much in the computer when she talked to me yesterday about the problem with the Del Sol, so the check-in took less than 5 minutes, with most of the time us just chatting. It was about 9 am. Then I went to run some errands with wife. Around 12:30 pm, I got a call from Peter who just informed me that the driver-side door was fixed. He told me on the phone in detail what caused the problem and how he fixed it (loose parts). Amazingly, he didn’t order new parts and was able to contort in and out of the Del Sol (remember, it’s a 2-seater with the driver-side door stuck). In the end, the shop pretty much charged me just the labor with is very reasonable. I was expecting the worst, to be honest. One nice thing about Peter is that he also told me the battery is close to be replaced, but not insisting I have to. Also, he praised the overall condition of the Del Sol. It’s those little things in conversation that made a customer re-assured.So in the end, I told Peter I would have no hesitation to recomment Fairfax Auto Repair to all my friends and relatives for ANY service or repair needs.
