This is a bittersweet review, because it may be really selfish, but it’s very hard to let the word out that we’ve found an amazing, down-to-earth, honest mechanic. But, we’d be doing them an injustice by not extolling their virtues and helping them grow even more.We were quoted a price of $1200 by other mechanics in town and told we needed all new brakes. This seemed ridiculous, but we were leaving town the next day for a road trip. Called around, and found Fairfax Auto Repair on Yelp.Rebecca was incredibly amazing, helpful, nice, kind, and honest. They got us in right away, took GREAT care of us, went out of their way to reassure us that the brakes were just fine, let us know a couple other minor issues on the horizon that didn’t need to be worked on now but just to be aware of over the next year. Really? Not going to force us to get it done now? Who ARE these guys? They even apologized at the cost being as high as it was (though less than half the other guys’ quote) only because no one made a generic part for our hub assembly and they had no choice but to go with a dealer part.Rebecca and her husband run the shop, and they are completely normal, educated, down to earth people. You will wonder why there aren’t more shops like this, and you will never go anywhere else!
