This really is the best auto shop I ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Their estimates on both parts and labor are by the book, they don't attempt to upsell you, and their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very polite. I've dealt with quite a few shops in the area, and Fairfax Auto is by far the most honest. A rare gem in the automotive field.

The service at Fairfax Auto is excellent. The staff is professional and legitimately cares about customer satisfaction. As a young woman its not easy to find a repair shop where you are treated with respect and where they take the time to ensure you understand whats going on with your car and all of your options. I recommend Fairfax Auto with no hesitation; from now on I won't take my car anywhere else.

We would HIGHLY recommend this business for auto repair work. They are honest, only do what is necessary, and EXTREMELY knowledgable on explaining the "why" the work needs to be done, or in some cases why it can wait. We have now had two vehicles serviced there and found out about the company through the military program Troopswap. Rebecca is FABULOUS and I would recommend any of my friends to visit them for repair. I can't say enough about the awesome work they do. Thanks so much! Fondly,

I found Fairfax Auto Repair online and their rating/reputation impressed me. Since then, they have performed a number of oil changes and small maintenance repairs to my car and have certainly lived up to their reputation. (I even got a great deal on tires from them). However, that is not what prompted this review. Recently, I had a small electrical issue with my car that I could not figure out. I asked my wife to take the car to Fairfax Auto Repair. I called ahead to inform them my wife would be staying to wait for the repair and Rebecca reassured me that my wife would be well cared for and that they could handle the repair. I was still a little concerned about 1) the amount of time my wife would be sitting there, and 2) the expense of an unknown electrical issue. As you may have guessed by my rating, my fears were unnecessary. Not only was my wife in and out very quickly (and very comfortable while she was there) but the problem turned out to be very minor. All in all this is on par with my previous experiences with Fairfax Auto Repair. Where this turns into 5-stars is when I saw the bill. Fairfax Auto Repair not only charged a fair price but also, actually charged less than what I was expecting to pay and even less than what I expected once I knew the extent of the repair. Courteous, honest, and great work!

Had my Mercedes-Benz ML320 repaired. They repaired at ~$3100, that would have taken +$5,000 at MB dealer. If you have MB, this is the place to have your car inspected and repaired. They have very very good MB technician that caught the problem of the car that no other place could identify except for MB dealership that charged me $240 just for the diagnosis.

We found Fairfax Auto Repair through Angie's List. They're on Angie's List 2010 Service Award Page and a nominee for the Pages of Happiness. My husband's baby, a 1990 CRX, needed to have a new axel. This is not an easy job. We contacted 3 different auto shops and a dealer to get estimates. Two of them the other shops were also highly rated on Angie's List, but didn't bother to give an estimate. They just said no. Rebecca from Fairfax Auto Repair gave us a precise estimate and let us know all our options. It was over $1000 less then the dealer for the same work. We had the work done and drove away happy. Now comes the reason why I'm giving 5 stars instead of 4...After a couple months, the gasket in the axel started to leak. We called Fairfax Auto repair and I expected a song and dance. Rebecca just said, "Bring it in!" We brought it in and they fixed it. No excuses. No "but we need money for this extra part". They fixed it, and thanked us for giving them the opportunity to fix the problem. That's someone who takes pride in their work.Since this time, we have brought all our cars there. My husband's CRX is now not only his baby, but Rebecca and Louis's too. My baby, a 2000 CR-V, gets all it's service done there as well as our 2005 Nissan Armada. I've been extremely pleased with their service. Yes, they are busy and you have to make an appointment or agree to leave it over night, but its worth it.
